BIOGRAPHY LONG READ
Born and raised on an ancient flower farm in Celtic lands of Brittany on the North West shore of France, Anna Stervinou has cultivated an intuitive and no-nonsense relationship to work and life since an early age.
Anna began her professional career as a designer and art director in high-end branding and advertising agencies between London, New York and Barcelona. Her entrepreneurial DNA and spirit of adventure led her to Vietnam where she set up her ethical fashion brand ‘Kore Kamino’ back in 2010 when sustainable fashion brands were not a thing at the time of the rise of the fast fashion giants such as H&M and Zara.
Producing ethically with local craftsmen and social enterprises from Vietnam, to Ghana, Brazil, Nepal and other countries, her label “Kore Kamino” as translated micro stories from around the world into cultivated fashion collections. Anna completed her entrepreneur training in social innovation and sustainable development at ISEM Fashion Business School Madrid.
Working on the ground with local artisans, NGOs and cooperatives, she experienced first-hand the operational challenges faced by purpose-led entrepreneurs and founders.
Returned to France after 20 years abroad, she combines her unique expertise in entrepreneurship, brand strategy, responsible design and R&D to support companies and entrepreneurs on their sustainable journeys — improving their impact from a value chain and strategic perspective. She also teaches sustainable development with a focus on entrepreneurship in various Masters programs, including Sciences Po and other Marketing and Business Masters in France, Spain and Asia.
